GO FLY A KITE - NO, REALLY!

On Chico Kite Day, everyone becomes a kite flyer: it's a great afternoon of fun for Moms, Dads, Kids, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles - heck, just bring everyone! Upwards of 5000 people have attended past Kite Days!

From Noon to 4:00 pm Chicoans gather at
Community Park off State Highway 99, for an Afternoon of kite flying.

Beg, borrow, build your own, or steal
(Okay, I'm just kidding about the steal part!) a kite or two, maybe bring a picnic lunch, and join the fun: Go fly a kite!

There'll be oldies music playing, prizes for
the best homemade kites, and a souvenir for each kite flyer.

A beautiful day - it usually is, in spite of the vagueries of the time of the year - fresh air, friends, family, college students, and neighbors, imaginative and colorful kites - Chico Kite Day sounds like a recipe for a superlative day to me!
