DISCOVERY TRAIL AT
GRANLIBAKKEN RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTER

Our family spent a week at the
Granlibakken Resort and Conference Center in Tahoe City for a Family Nature Summit.

The food was yummy with outdoor dining every meal and our accommodations were roomy.

As first timers to Tahoe, we got to see all
the highlights:

Kayaking in Emerald Bay, sitting on the glacial boulders on the shores of Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park, swimming off the pier in the clear waters off Sugar Pine Mansion, and looking over the dam at Fanny Bridge.

My favorite Tahoe experience by far was building a Discovery Trail at the Granlibakken Resort for children to walk into the forest and explore nature.

The Family Nature Summit team deserves lots of kudos for coming
up with the idea and putting their service project into action. It may be a whole different experience in winter, but here's a taste of it as it was built:
