I'll Bet You're Wondering Who I am!!

FIRST OF ALL, WELCOME!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VISITING MY WEBSITE!

Suzi at Age 2

My name is Suzi Rosenberg and I'm 64 years old. I don't quite know how that happened! ;-)

THE EARLY YEARS

I grew up in the United States Marine Corps - that makes me a Marine Brat - a name I wear proudly.

"So what?" you might ask.

Well, every three years or so we packed up our bags, and our furniture, and whatever pets we'd accumulated at the time, and we moved to a new place.

Everytime we did this, we left behind the places we'd come to call home and the people we'd come to call friends. It was heartbreaking at the time.

But there was a flip-side. Every three years we had the opportunity to make a new place home and to meet new friends!

And that was enough to make my heart start dancing in anticipation!

So now you know what gets me going -

Travel, adventures, new places, new people!

  • Getting in the car to start a trip, even a short one
  • Waiting at the airport to board a plane for new horizons
  • Hearing a train whistle and knowing it's on its way to somewhere
  • Standing dockside beside a cruise ship as the porters take our luggage aboard

These things get my blood rushing like almost nothing else! (An aside to my Honey: I did say almost . . .)

RAISING A FAMILY

Oddly enough, when I grew up, married, and started a family we ended up staying put for most of 20 years.

At first it was sort of accidental. My husband graduated college during the recession of 1974 when jobs were hard to come by. He was lucky enough to get a job in his career field - many of his classmates had to pump gas until things got better. Not that there's anything wrong with pumping gas! Any honest work that puts food on the table is fine by me!

Later, because we were living in a very small town in California's Central Valley - "far from the madding crowd," so to speak - we opted to stay. It seemed like a safer place to raise our two boys than some big city somewhere.

Suzi & Her Boys At Fisherman's Wharf

During this time - not having a lot of extra money to spare - we satisfied our wanderlust by thoroughly exploring Northern California. Many, many of our weekends and all of our holidays were spent taking our boys on one adventure or another: camping in Yosemite, boardwalking and crabbing in Santa Cruz, exploring Sutter's Fort in Sacramento . . .

Then, as will happen, the boys grew up and made their own lives (which is what one hopes for!), and I say to my Darling Husband: "Now that the boys are on their own and doing well, let's grab that next career opportunity that comes along. I don't mind moving around!"

Ultimately, after a few moves, we landed back in Northern California and we couldn't be happier!

LOOKING TOWARD RETIREMENT

Wolf and Suzi

The day has finally come that we're actually beginning to anticipate and look forward to Darling Hubby's eventual retirement (it's still a day or two down the road, but we like to be prepared).

Retirement means more freedom to travel. We could take advantage of those last-minute deals that require you to be footloose and packed within 3 days. But it could also mean a change in circumstances. We know we want to stay as close to our current lifestyle as possible and not have to pinch pennies too much. And we want to be able to lavish visits on the children and grandchildren (as much as they'll tolerate, anyway).

And, like most people, we dream about having fun and enjoying ourselves while we're still young enough and healthy enough to do it!

So we're thinkin': "How can we find a way to supplement Hubby's retirement income to support those little extras?" You know how it is. We've done okay and we're comfortable enough, but life's uncertain. You can never be too prepared!

Lots of people these days are talking about how to make money on-line through eBay, Craigslist, affiliation, e-stores, websites . . . it seems everyone out there has, not only an answer but the answer!

Sounds like a great idea, but I don't know anything about the Internet except how to shop and how to do research!

Besides, can you really make money at it?

Well, let me say first off - I am a skeptic with a capital "S". I'm wary of claims that I can become rich using some special secret way to earn tens of thousands of dollars per month! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

THEN I STUMBLED ON SBI!

The first thing that caught my attention was that SBI didn't make any get rich quick promises. I thought, "Well, at least they're honest about that!" So . . . I decided to check it out a bit (with plenty of the afore-mentioned skepticism!).

By the way, SBI stands for Site Build It! and it calls itself a Web Hosting Service, but it's actually more like a Web Hosting Service that offers a Masters in Successful Site Building.

I watched the vidoes, checked out some SBIer-owned websites, explored the case studies . . . the best part of what I was seeing was SBI's promise to take care of the technical aspects of building a website (which has always been the stopping point for me when I thought about "Doing something on the Web") and their Money Back Guarantee.

The more I investigated, the better it sounded.
I decided to give it a try.

SBI has lived up to all of its promises! (If you'd like to know more about how I came to choose SBI! as my website hosting application, click here.)

It has helped me to build this lovely website and to be able to indulge in one of my many passions by sharing my love of travel and of Northern California with you!

You may be thinking I'm somehow "special" if I was able to do this - that I must have had knowledge that you don't. Believe me, it's not true!! If I can do this, anyone can!

But don't take my word for it - Check it out for yourself!
