Point Reyes National Seashore contains 71,028 acres of rocky
headlands, expansive sand beaches, open grasslands, brushy hillsides, and forested ridges. Point Reyes Lighthouse is a major Marin County attraction!

The San Andreas Fault in Marin County is a surprise to most people, but much of the fault activity from the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 - epicentered West of the Golden Gate - traveled North, through the Point Reyes area? Take a look at this video about the Bear Valley Earthquake Trail!

Marin's beaches and beach communities are definitely part of the attraction! Beautiful Muir Beach, charming Stinson Beach, mysterious Bolinas across the Bolinas Lagoon, China Camp, Drakes Beach, Kirby Cove, Limantour...

Picturesque Sausalito, former railtown and shipbuilding center, now with its elegant boutiques and famous houseboats is a popular tourist destination, often at the end of a ferry ride from San Francisco.

Tiburon and Belvedere, both on Tiburon Peninsula, are almost surrounded by the waters of San Francisco Bay and offer quaint New England style streets with high-end shops and waterfront restaurants with incredible views.

The Marine Mammal Center rescues sick and injured marine
mammals - mostly seals and sea lions - and rehabilitates them for release back into the wild. Take a fascinating tour of their facility at Fort Cronkite.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum features hands-on art, science, environmental, and media exhibitions designed to nurture childhood creativity. Visit Imagination Playground, Discovery Hall, Loutout Cove, and more.
